Dhaka, Jul 05 (V7N) — The Bangladesh Meteorological Department has forecast widespread rainfall across the country, with moderate to very heavy showers expected in several divisions over the coming hours.
According to a forecast issued by the Storm Warning Center on Sunday, light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty winds and lightning are likely in most areas of Mymensingh, Khulna, Barisal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions, and at many places in Rangpur, Rajshahi and Dhaka divisions.
The forecast also indicates that some areas of Mymensingh, Khulna, Barisal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions may experience moderate to heavy, and in some places very heavy, rainfall.
The Meteorological Department further said that the mild heat wave currently affecting the districts of Rajshahi, Pabna, Naogaon, Dhaka, Kishoreganj, Tangail, Mymensingh, Sylhet, Moulvibazar, Rangamati, Chandpur, Feni, Cox's Bazar and Chuadanga is likely to subside as rainfall increases across the country.
