Dhaka, Mar 14 (V7N) — The Bangladesh Meteorological Department has forecast storms, rain, and thundershowers in parts of four divisions today. Rangpur, Dhaka, Mymensingh, and Sylhet divisions may experience rain accompanied by temporary gusty winds by 6 pm on Saturday (March 14). In the last 24 hours, the capital recorded 18 millimeters of rainfall.
The Meteorological Department’s Storm Warning Center released the next six-hour forecast on Saturday morning, indicating that the sky over Dhaka and surrounding areas may remain partly cloudy to temporarily cloudy until noon, with a chance of rain or thundershowers. Winds are expected to blow from the west or southwest at 8–12 km/h, and the temperature may drop slightly during the day.
For the rest of the country, the forecast predicts isolated rain or thundershowers with temporary gusty winds and lightning in one or two places in Rajshahi, Khulna, Barisal, and Chattogram divisions. Despite the rain, day and night temperatures are expected to rise slightly nationwide.
