Dhaka, Nov 18 (V7N) — A low-pressure area is likely to form over the southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining areas by Saturday (November 22), and it may intensify afterward, according to the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD).

Currently, a seasonal low lies over the southwest Bay, with its trough extending to the northeast Bay, the weather office said in its forecast issued on Tuesday.

Wednesday (Nov 19):

  • Weather is expected to remain dry across the country with partly cloudy skies.

  • Light to moderate fog may form in some areas early in the morning.

  • Night and day temperatures may rise slightly.

Thursday (Nov 20):

  • Dry and partly cloudy conditions will continue.

  • Morning fog likely.

  • Night temperatures may increase slightly, while day temperatures are expected to remain nearly unchanged.

Friday (Nov 21):

  • Mostly dry weather with temporary cloudiness.

  • Night and day temperatures expected to remain almost the same.

Saturday (Nov 22):

  • Countrywide weather to remain dry and partly cloudy.

  • Temperatures likely to remain unchanged.

  • A low-pressure system is expected to form over the southeast Bay, which may further intensify.
