Dhaka, May 24, (V7N) – A cocktail explosion occurred at a tree fair near Jatrabari Park in the capital, leaving one person seriously injured late Friday night.

The injured, identified as Jewel (40), a nursery employee, was rescued in critical condition around 12 midnight and immediately taken to the emergency department of Dhaka Medical College Hospital.

Authorities have not yet confirmed the cause of the explosion. Police and law enforcement agencies are investigating the incident.
