Dhaka, Mar 14 (V7N) — The Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) has reduced the price of gold in the domestic market once again. This time, the price of 22-carat gold has been reduced by Tk 2,683 per bhori, bringing the new price to Tk 2,62,265.
The organization announced the decision in a notification on Saturday (March 14). The new prices came into effect from 10:00 am the same day.
According to the revised rates, the price of 22-carat gold per bhori (11.664 grams) has been set at Tk 2,62,265. Meanwhile, the price of 21-carat gold has been fixed at Tk 2,50,367 per bhori, 18-carat gold at Tk 2,14,617 per bhori, and traditional gold at Tk 1,74,785 per bhori.
BAJUS said the new prices were determined considering the decline in the price of pure gold in the local market and the overall market situation.
Earlier, on Friday (March 13), BAJUS had also reduced the price of gold, cutting the price of 22-carat gold by Tk 2,158, setting it at Tk 2,64,948 per bhori at that time.
