Dhaka, Feb 06 (V7N) — The price of gold has fallen once again in the domestic market. Although prices had shown signs of recovery after a recent sharp decline, the rebound proved short-lived. Over the last two days, gold prices have dropped significantly.

On Friday (February 6), the Bangladesh Jewellers Association (BAJUS) reduced the price of 22-carat gold by Tk 7,640 per bhori.

BAJUS issued a notification revising gold prices at around 10:00 am today. Following the adjustment, the price of 22-carat gold now stands at Tk 254,450 per bhori in the local market.

According to the notification, the price reduction has been made due to a decline in the price of pure gold in the domestic market, taking the overall situation into consideration.

  • 22-carat gold: Tk 254,450

  • 21-carat gold: Tk 242,903

  • 18-carat gold: Tk 182,202
