Dhaka, Jan 02 (V7N) – The Dhaka International Trade Fair will close tomorrow (January 3) after a two-day postponement due to the state mourning for former Prime Minister and BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia.

The 30th edition of the fair is being held for the sixth time at the Bangladesh-China Friendship Exhibition Center in Purbachal, featuring 324 stalls this year. Security has been strengthened with multiple watch towers and police patrol teams, while BRTC shuttle services are operating from Kuril, Khamarbari, Khezurbagan, Narsingdi, and Gazipur to facilitate visitor access.

Eleven stalls have been set up by Malaysia, Indonesia, Japan, Hong Kong, India, and Turkey. The main entrance reflects Bangladesh’s heritage and export-oriented products, while a special Bangladesh Square showcases the country’s history. Two children’s parks have also been arranged for young visitors.

Originally scheduled to begin on January 1, the fair’s opening was postponed due to Khaleda Zia’s death. Traders have requested an extension of the fair to make up for the lost days.

If you want, I can also create a short, social-media-friendly version highlighting key details like dates, stalls, and international participation. Do you want me to do that?
