Dhaka, Nov 05 (V7N) – The price of gold has increased once again in the country’s market, according to a notification from the Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS).
As per the latest adjustment, the price of 22-carat gold per bhori (11.664 grams) has risen by Tk 1,680, bringing the new rate to Tk 2,10,776.
BAJUS announced the revised price in a press release issued on Saturday night (November 1), which came into effect on Sunday (November 2).
According to the new rate, per bhori of 21-carat gold will now cost Tk 1,92,596, 18-carat gold will cost Tk 1,65,081, and traditional gold will be priced at Tk 1,37,180.
The association also mentioned that the government-fixed 5 percent VAT and a minimum making charge of 6 percent, determined by BAJUS, must be added to the selling price of gold. However, making charges may vary depending on the jewelry’s design and craftsmanship.
