Comilla, Nov 02 (V7N)- Police have arrested a teacher named Maulana Kabir Hossain (Kabir Huzur), a teacher of the madrasa, on charges of sexually abusing two child students of Hafezi Madrasa in Kashinagar Bazar of Chauddagram Upazila of Comilla.
He was arrested on Sunday (November 2) night.
Locals said that the two victims are 11 and 12 years old. They are residents of the neighboring Boro Kachnai village. On Sunday, the students complained to their relatives about the sexual abuse, and the relatives came to the madrasa and questioned the teacher. At one point, the accused teacher Kabir Hossain (Kabir Huzur) confessed to sexually abusing the students, and the relatives informed the police.
Later, the police came and arrested the madrasa teacher Maulana Kabir Hossain and took him to the police station. The families of the two children have filed two separate cases in this incident.
In this regard, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Chauddagram Police Station Mohammad Arif Hossain said that Hafez Maulana Kabir Hossain has been arrested on the basis of the sexual abuse allegations. Further investigation is underway in this matter.
