Dhaka, Aug 11 (V7N) – Malaysia’s national university, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), will award an honorary doctorate degree to Chief Advisor Professor Muhammad Yunus on August 13, during his official three-day visit to the country.

The announcement was made by Shah Asif Rahman, Director-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, at a press briefing on Sunday (August 10).

Professor Yunus is also scheduled to deliver a commemorative speech to the students of UKM. On the final day of his visit, he will pay a courtesy call on the Chancellor of UKM and Ruler of Negeri Sembilan Province, Tuanku Muhriz Ibni Almarhum Tuanku Munawir.

Professor Yunus departs for Malaysia today (Monday).
