DHAKA, Aug 05 (V7N) – On the occasion of the first 'July Mass Uprising Day,' Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus inspected the progress of the construction of the 'July Mass Uprising Memorial Museum' at Ganabhaban today. The museum is being built to document the history, struggle, martyrs, and victory of the historic July Uprising of 2024.
Upon his visit to the construction site, the Chief Adviser spoke with the engineers, architects, and workers involved, directing them to complete the project as soon as possible. He was accompanied by Liberation War Affairs Adviser Faruk E Azam, Public Works Adviser Adilur Rahman Khan, Cultural Affairs Adviser Mostofa Sarwar Farooki, and other members of the Museum Implementation Committee.
The decision to convert Ganabhaban, the former residence of the Prime Minister, into a memorial museum was made by the interim government to honor the sacrifices made during the mass uprising. The museum aims to serve as a national monument and a research center, preserving the memory of those who participated in the movement that led to the change in government on August 5, 2024.
