DHAKA, May 07 (V7N) – Education Adviser Professor Dr. Chowdhury Rafiqul Abrar today stressed the importance of translating higher education textbooks into Bangla to improve the quality of education and research in the country.

He made these remarks during the cover unveiling ceremony of the book "Public Administration: Theory and Concept" authored by Professor Nazmunnesa Mahtab of Dhaka University's Department of Women and Gender Studies and the Rokeya Chair of the Bangladesh University Grants Commission (UGC).

The event was held at the Professor Muzaffar Ahmed Chowdhury Auditorium on the Dhaka University campus.

Professor Rafiqul Abrar noted that the majority of higher education books are in English and that translating them into Bangla is crucial for fostering academic and research excellence. To facilitate this, he announced plans to establish a "Translation Bureau."

The Education Adviser also highlighted the significance of Professor Nazmunnesa Mahtab's book, stating that it would serve as a source of inspiration for young teachers and researchers.

He explained that the book, organized into three sections, delves into various definitions and key concepts of public administration, along with different facets of Bangladesh's administrative framework.

Professor Rafiqul Abrar added that the book will be a valuable resource for students in disciplines such as public administration, political science, management, business administration, and leadership studies.
