Pabna, Oct 16 (V7N) – The Islamic Students’ Organization of Bangladesh (Islami Chhatra Shibir) organized a freshers’ welcome and career guidance program for the 27th batch of students at Pabna University of Science and Technology on Thursday.
The event took place at the Teachers’ Training College grounds in front of the university campus under the banner of the university branch of Islami Chhatra Shibir. The program was presided over by Tushar Mahmud, president of the university branch.
The chief guest, former central president of Islami Chhatra Shibir, Sirajul Islam, delivered a keynote speech, while the central Dawah Secretary, Mu’tasim Billah Shahedi, addressed the students as the main speaker.
Special guests included Professor Abdul Gaffar Khan, secretary of Pabna District Jamaat-e-Islami; former British Council trainer Engineer Naim Hossain; and Golam Rahman Joy from Pabna City Shibir.
During the program, speakers emphasized the importance of ambition and planning in students’ careers. They encouraged students to nurture the mindset of striving for excellence, dreaming big about their future careers, and developing a clear roadmap to achieve their goals. They highlighted that success requires dedication and proactive effort but stressed that dreams can indeed be realized with determination.
More than 400 students, including female students from the 27th batch, attended the event voluntarily. Various educational materials and resources were distributed among the participants to support their career development and academic engagement.
