Bagerhat, Sept 18 (V7N) – Leaders and activists of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) distributed leaflets highlighting Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman’s 31-point reform plan in Morelganj upazila of Bagerhat on Thursday evening. The campaign was aimed at garnering public support for the party’s electoral symbol, the paddy sheaf.
The distribution took place around 5:30 p.m. at Bisharighata Bazar in the sadar union, where leaflets were handed over to grassroots activists and people from various walks of life. Following the program, a brief street rally was held.
Speakers at the event included upazila BNP president Md. Shahidul Haque Babul, municipal BNP general secretary Asaduzzaman Milon, senior joint general secretary of upazila BNP, lecturer Russel Al Islam, BNP leader Matiur Rahman Bachchu, upazila labor front president Md. Mojnu Molla, and sadar union BNP president Abdur Rahim, among others.
During the rally, speakers said that full implementation of Tarique Rahman’s 31-point reform agenda would help transform Bangladesh into a prosperous and developed nation. They also stressed the importance of unity under the leadership of Kazi Khairuzzaman Shipon during challenging times, urging activists to reach out to every household and seek votes for the BNP’s paddy sheaf symbol.
