Dhaka, Sep 18 (V7N) – BNP Standing Committee member Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury has emphasized that the party seeks political stability and warned that attempts to destabilize the situation will come at a political cost.
He made the remarks while inquiring about the health of People’s Rights Council President Nurul Haque Noor on Thursday afternoon.
Amir Khasru stated that the incident involving Noor demonstrates the reality that lack of accountability prevails without an elected government. “If someone tries to destabilize the country by disrupting elections or through political programs, they will have to pay political compensation,” he said.
He also noted that while consensus may not be possible everywhere, it is legitimate to raise demands. “However, ultimately, we must go to the people,” he added.
