Khulna, Oct 31 (V7N)- Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman has accused the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) of deceiving the nation and disregarding public opinion, warning that the people must be prepared for another revolution if the party continues to ignore their demands.

He made the remarks at a rally on Saturday morning ahead of an 11-party alliance’s long march from Khulna to Kushtia, organised to press for a seven-point solution.

Dr. Shafiqur Rahman said the opposition would refrain from protesting for the time being if the BNP implemented even one point of the July Charter. He urged the people to remain prepared for another revolution to counter what he described as the BNP’s deception and disregard for public opinion.

Speaking at the rally, Bangladesh Khilafat Majlis Ameer Maulana Mamunul Haque said the country’s various crises, deteriorating law and order, and rising commodity prices were consequences of the failure to reform the Constitution.

He called for the implementation of public opinion and said the people must be able to reap the benefits of the revolution.

Meanwhile, Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) President and retired Colonel Oli Ahmed alleged that government offices of all kinds had effectively become BNP party offices.
