Dhaka, Dec 29 (V7N) — BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman has called on leaders, activists, and citizens to contribute to building a new country. He made the remarks while addressing party leaders and activists at the BNP central office in Nayapaltan on Monday.
Tarique Rahman said, “Since we have no program here today, if we close the road now, it will be difficult for the common people to move around. We are trying to open the road as soon as possible so that the common people can move around normally.”
He further emphasized the importance of small efforts in nation-building, saying, “We are trying to build a new country. We should try to do as much as we can for the country. If there is a piece of paper lying on the road, if it is dirty, we will remove it if necessary. We build the country by doing small things like this.”
At the same time, Tarique Rahman sought prayers for the speedy recovery and good health of his mother, BNP Chairperson and former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia.
