Dhaka, Dec 15 (V7N) — Bangladesh Chhatra Odhikar Parishad President Nazmul Hasan has strongly criticized the current law and order situation, warning that Chief Advisor Dr. Muhammad Yunus could preside over the most violent and bloody election in the country’s history.

He made the remarks during an emergency press conference held at the Madhur Canteen of Dhaka University on Monday morning, addressing the deteriorating political and security situation across the country.

At the conference, the Chhatra Odhikar Parishad presented five key demands, including:

  • The resignation of Home Affairs Advisor and Special Assistant to the Chief Advisor Khoda Baksh Chowdhury, holding him responsible for failures in maintaining law and order.

  • Issuing a circular from the Election Commission to ban political activities of the Jatiya Party, described as a direct ally of fascism.

  • Preventing leaders or activists of the Awami League and 14-party alliance from participating in the upcoming parliamentary elections, even as independent candidates.

Nazmul Hasan emphasized that these measures are necessary to ensure free, fair, and safe elections and to curb the escalating political violence ahead of the 13th National Parliament polls.
