Dhaka, Nov 24 (V7N)- Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, senior joint secretary general of BNP, expressed solidarity with the ongoing movement of non-MPO teachers demanding inclusion in the Monthly Pay Order (MPO). He made the remarks in front of the National Press Club on Monday afternoon.

Rizvi stated that while the BNP believes the chief advisor can organize a fair election, “the behavior of some advisors does not seem to indicate that.” He also criticized the interim government, saying, “This government's behavior seems to not consider its poor teachers as citizens of the country.”

Highlighting the fairness of the teachers’ demands, Rizvi remarked that “the demands of non-MPO teachers are 100% fair.”

For the past 23 days, teachers under the banner of the Combined Non-MPO Oikya Parishad have been protesting and holding hunger strikes across the country. Teachers from around 4,000 educational institutions are participating, demanding MPO registration for non-MPO educational institutions.
