Dhaka, Nov 6, 2025 (V7N)- The Election Commission (EC) Secretariat has issued an urgent directive to prepare a detailed list of polling stations equipped with CCTV cameras ahead of the upcoming 13th National Parliament elections.

The instruction was conveyed through an urgent notice signed by Md. Nasir Uddin Chowdhury, Senior Assistant Secretary of the EC Secretariat, on Wednesday (November 6).

According to the directive, Senior District Election Officers and District Election Officers have been asked to compile the list and submit it to the ‘Election Support-1’ branch through their respective Regional Election Officers by November 12.

The EC also specified that the list must be submitted in both hard copy and soft copy (in Nix font) following the prescribed format.

Election Commission officials said the initiative is part of ensuring enhanced security and transparency during the election process, as well as improving monitoring and real-time surveillance in polling stations across the country.
