Dhaka, Oct 26 (V7N) — BNP Chairperson’s Advisor Zainul Abdin Faruk has said that the interim government is working to organize the national election on February 26, but “the forces of dictatorship” are trying to obstruct the process.

He made the remarks on Sunday (October 26) after paying tribute to BNP founder Ziaur Rahman at his grave, accompanied by leaders of the Nationalist Creative Publishing Council.

Faruk emphasized that the government’s efforts must succeed to ensure a free, fair, and meaningful election, adding that awareness about the electoral process must be raised across the country.

He also alleged that there have been attempts to partisanize textbooks over the past 15 years, calling for reforms to restore neutrality in the education system.
