Jhalokathi, Oct 20 (V7N) – The central president of Islami Chhatra Shibir, Zahidul Islam, stated that the organization’s recent victories in several university student union elections were made possible first by the will of Almighty Allah, and then by the confidence and trust of the students.

Speaking as the chief guest at a gathering of local Shibir unit leaders in Jhalokathi on Monday morning, Zahidul Islam said that the organization has worked to understand the mindset, aspirations, and concerns of students, staying beside them and shaping its plans according to their expectations.

He mentioned that since August 5, Islami Chhatra Shibir has been demanding the reinstatement of student union elections across universities. “Our manifesto was prepared based on students’ demands, and we are continuing to implement those commitments even after the elections,” he said.

The Shibir president emphasized that the organization’s true victory lies in maintaining students’ trust and fulfilling their aspirations. “The reflection of students’ belief will be the real success, and we are working toward that goal,” he added, expressing optimism that this trend will continue in upcoming student union elections.

The event, held at a community center in Jhalokathi, was presided over by district president Enamul Hasan and conducted by district secretary Md. Nuruzzaman.

Special guests included former Shibir office secretary and Jamaat-e-Islami candidate for Jhalokathi-2 constituency (Sadar-Nalchity) Sheikh Niamul Karim, central sports secretary Harun-or-Rashid Rafi, and former district president Advocate B.M. Aminul Islam.
