Dhaka, Sep 03 (V7N) – The People’s Rights Council has announced that it will stage an anti-fascist rally at Shahbagh on Friday (September 5). The declaration came from the organization’s General Secretary Rashed Khan following a protest rally and procession in the capital’s Bijoynagar on Wednesday afternoon.

The program was organized in protest against the recent attack on the group’s president, Nurul Haque Nur, who is currently undergoing treatment.

Rashed Khan outlined three key demands at the event:

  1. Immediate trial of those involved in the attack on Nur.

  2. Resignation of the Home Affairs Advisor.

  3. Ban on the politics of the 14-party alliance, including the Jatiya Party, for their alleged collaboration with the “fascist Awami League.”

Following the procession, protesters blocked the Bijoynagar Water Tank intersection, disrupting traffic for a short period. Leaders and activists also called on the government to send Nur abroad for advanced medical treatment.
