Rangpur, Nov 3, (V7N) – A seminar titled "The Research Roadmap: From Idea Generation to Conceptual Framework, Methodology and Publication" was held at Begum Rokeya University, Rangpur (BRUR) on Tuesday.
The Faculty of Business Studies organised the event at the Marketing Department Gallery in the university's Academic Building-3, with Dean of the Faculty of Business Studies Professor Dr Md Nur Alam Siddique in the chair.
Vice-Chancellor of the university Professor Dr Md Showkat Ali attended the seminar as the chief guest. Chairman of the Department of Management Information Systems (MIS) at the University of Dhaka Professor Dr Rakibul Haque was present as the resource person. He provided a detailed discussion on various research techniques, the process of generating ideas, and the intricacies involved in publishing research papers.
In his address, the chief guest emphasised that the true development of higher education is impossible without quality research. "Such seminars play a vital role in fostering a research-oriented mindset among students and equipping them with the necessary skills for every stage of the research process, from generating ideas and developing a conceptual framework to applying appropriate methodologies and achieving publication," he said.
He further added that the university administration remains committed to enhancing the quality of research, which is essential for staying competitive in today's world.
