Pabna, Dec 10 (V7N) – International Anti-Corruption Day was observed in Pabna on Tuesday under the theme “Unity of Youth Against Corruption: Building Integrity for the Future.” The event was organized by the District Administration in collaboration with the Integrated District Office of the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC).

The day began with the hoisting of the national and ACC flags, followed by the release of balloons to inaugurate the program. A human chain was subsequently formed on the streets in front of the District Commissioner’s office to raise public awareness.

A discussion meeting was held at the Shaheed Bir Muktijoddha ASI Abdul Jalil Auditorium at the Police Lines. The session was presided over by Shahidul Alam Sarkar, Deputy Director of the ACC Integrated District Office, Pabna. Key speakers included District Commissioner Shahed Mostafa, Additional Superintendent of Police Rejinur Rahman, District Anti-Corruption Committee President Dr. Monowar Ul Aziz, and General Secretary ABM Fazlur Rahman.

Speakers highlighted that corruption is a major barrier to societal and national progress. They emphasized that the younger generation must take an active role in building a corruption-free Bangladesh and that awareness and ethical practice are essential for establishing a transparent and just society.

The event concluded with a cultural program showcasing performances that reinforced the message of integrity and ethical responsibility.
