Habiganj, Sept 21 (V7N) — A US cotton delegation visited a Syham Group factory in Madhabpur, Habiganj, on Sunday to observe its production operations, quality-control systems and compliance with international standards.
The delegation included Mr. George, a consultant with Cotton USA, and Mr. Arsalan Ali, managing director of Atia Consulting Ltd.
During the visit, the delegation toured various sections of the factory and reviewed its production processes, quality-control measures, management practices and overall manufacturing capacity.
The delegation later held a meeting with Syham Cotton Mills and Syham Denims Managing Director and Bangladesh Knitwear Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BKMEA) Director Syed Ishtiaq Ahmed.
The meeting focused on the factory's production activities, product quality, quality-control procedures and adherence to international standards.
Industry stakeholders said 26 companies worldwide have been included on a special list related to US raw cotton, with Syham Group being the only Bangladeshi company on the list.
They said Syham Group has operated in Bangladesh's textile and yarn manufacturing sector for more than two decades, focusing on quality, efficiency, reliability and compliance with international standards.
The company's inclusion among the 26 selected companies was described by industry stakeholders as an important achievement for Syham Group and Bangladesh's textile and yarn manufacturing sector.
The recognition also highlights the growing participation of Bangladeshi textile manufacturers in international supply chains, they said.
