Rajshahi, JUNE(V7N) – The District Detective Branch (DB) police have successfully apprehended a drug dealer, Md. Abdul Momin (27), with 100 grams of heroin in a raid conducted in the Rajbari Hat area of Godagari Upazila, Rajshahi. Momin is identified as the son of Shafiqul Islam, from Harishankarpur village under Godagari police station.

The arrest took place at 11:45 PM on Saturday, June 1, at the Hathatpara intersection on the Chaitanyagram road in the Rajbari Hat area. The operation was carried out by DB Police SI Md. Ashraful Islam and his accompanying force, acting on a secret tip-off.

During the raid, the 100 grams of heroin, meticulously concealed in a white polythene bag, was discovered in the hem of the lungi Momin was wearing.

According to DB sources, the arrested Abdul Momin has a history of involvement in drug-related activities, with multiple cases already filed against him. A new case has been lodged against him at Godagari Model Police Station under the Narcotics Control Act, 2018.
