GAZIPUR, AUG 9 (V7N) - A Gazipur court has granted a two-day remand for each of the seven individuals arrested in connection with the murder of journalist Asaduzzaman Tuhin. The remand order was issued by Judge Md Alamgir Al Mamun of the Gazipur Metropolitan Magistrate Court on Saturday afternoon after police produced the accused and requested a 10-day remand for each.

The seven accused are: Ketu Mizan ,Parul Akhter alias Golapi (Ketu Mizan's wife), Al Amin, Swadhin,Shah Jalal, Suman Foysal Hassan Sabbir

Tuhin, a staff reporter for the daily Protidiner Kagoj, was brutally hacked to death by a group of armed men near the Gazipur Chowrasta on Thursday night. The victim's brother, Md Selim, has filed a case with Basan Police Station under Gazipur Metropolitan Police, accusing 20 to 25 unnamed individuals. Police have stated that operations are ongoing to apprehend other culprits involved in the killing.
