Dhaka, Oct 09 (V7N) – The International Crimes Tribunal (ICT) has issued arrest warrants against 30 individuals, including former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and five former Directors General of the DGFI, in connection with two enforced disappearance cases.
The Tribunal’s Registrar’s Office confirmed on Thursday (October 9) that the warrants were sent to the Inspector General of Police (IGP) and 12 related offices for execution.
Chief Prosecutor Advocate Tajul Islam said that the warrants were officially dispatched to the concerned authorities on Wednesday.
Earlier that day, ICT-1 took cognizance of the formal charges in the TFI Cell and JIC Cell disappearance cases and ordered the arrest of the accused.
According to tribunal sources, five charges were filed against each of the accused in both cases.

In the TFI Cell case, 17 people, including Sheikh Hasina, have been charged.

In the JIC Cell case, 13 individuals have been accused.
Many of the accused are reportedly still serving in different government or security forces. However, Chief Prosecutor Tajul Islam clarified that once the formal complaint is accepted, they are no longer considered to be in official service under the law.
