Dhaka, Feb 27 (V7N) — A moderate earthquake measuring 5.4 on the Richter scale was felt in various parts of Bangladesh, including the capital Dhaka, at 1:52:49 pm on Friday (February 27).

The Bangladesh Meteorological Department reported that the epicenter of the quake was located in the Asashuni area of Satkhira, approximately 188 kilometers from Dhaka.

This is the latest in a series of tremors this month, with more than 10 earthquakes already recorded in Bangladesh and surrounding areas in February. Last Wednesday, the country also experienced a noticeable earthquake, raising concerns about increased seismic activity in the region.
