Dhaka, Dec 23 (V7N)- Authorities have imposed a 24-hour ban on the entry of non-passengers at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport starting from 6:00 pm on Wednesday (December 24).
The information was confirmed on Tuesday (December 23) in a message issued by Group Captain SM Ragib Samad, Executive Director of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport.
According to the notice, in order to ensure passenger services, security, and operational discipline, the entry of all visitors and persons other than designated passengers into the airport premises will be completely prohibited from 6:00 pm on December 24 to 6:00 am on December 25 due to special operational and security reasons.
The airport authority has requested the cooperation of passengers and all concerned in implementing the restriction smoothly.
Meanwhile, heightened security measures have been taken in and around the airport as BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman is scheduled to return to the country on December 25. Law enforcement agencies and relevant authorities remain on alert to maintain overall security and order during this period.
