Dhaka, Sep 14 (V7N)- Business leaders have said they received assurances from the government that industrial factories will receive electricity and gas according to demand starting Tuesday.

Leaders of 20 business associations shared the information during a briefing after meeting with the Prime Minister on Monday afternoon (September 14).

FBCCI Administrator Fazlul Haque said business associations want to maintain confidence in the government while ensuring proper implementation and management of the initiatives undertaken by the authorities.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister’s Advisor Mahdi Amin said work has already begun to bring another Floating Storage and Regasification Unit (FSRU) into operation before 2028.

He said the government plans to operate a total of five floating LNG terminals, including the new facility and the two existing FSRUs.

The government is also planning to establish land-based LNG terminals as part of its efforts to strengthen the country’s energy infrastructure and ensure a more reliable supply of gas to industries.
