Lalmonirhat, Sep 14 (V7N)- Social Welfare Minister Dr. AZM Zahid Hossain has said that whenever Bangladesh faces a crisis, people look to the BNP to take responsibility for rescuing the country and its people.
He made the remarks while addressing an exchange meeting with Lalmonirhat District BNP as the chief guest at the District Council Auditorium around 1am on Sunday night.
Zahid Hossain cautioned BNP leaders and activists against creating disorder, saying any such actions would only benefit covert and fugitive forces.
He stressed that the BNP has a responsibility to lead efforts to overcome crises facing the country and its people. A position, he said, has no value without the party, while no organization can move forward without discipline.
The minister also criticized the previous Awami League government and urged BNP leaders and activists at all levels to remain united and disciplined.
The meeting was chaired by Lalmonirhat District BNP President and Minister for Disaster Management and Relief Asadul Habib Dulu.
Lalmonirhat-1 MP Barrister Hasan Rajib Pradhan, Lalmonirhat-2 MP Rokon Uddin Babul, district-level BNP leaders, and thousands of leaders and activists from the BNP and its affiliated organizations from the district’s five upazilas attended the meeting.
