Sylhet, Sep 04 (V7N)- Health Minister Sardar Mohammad Sakhawat Hossain has said that 7,500 doctors and 7,500 nurses will be recruited across the country within the next three months.
He made the announcement while visiting Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital on Friday (September 4) morning.
The Health Minister said measles infections are currently occurring more frequently among children who have not received vaccination. In response, a special vaccination campaign will be launched again this month.
He also claimed that the quality of healthcare services in the country's hospitals has improved since the BNP came to power.
Sakhawat Hossain said the government is also working to enact a safety law to ensure the security of doctors while they are providing healthcare services.
He further said large-scale recruitment will be completed within the next three months to address the shortage of doctors and nurses across the country.
