Jhenaidah, Sep 04 (V7N)- Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Md. Asaduzzaman has said that people of all religions in the country are practicing their respective faiths peacefully and without hindrance.
He made the remarks at a program organized on the occasion of Janmashtami in Shailkupa, Jhenaidah, on Friday (September 4) morning.
Addressing followers of the Sanatan religion, the Law Minister said Lord Krishna appeared thousands of years ago to destroy evil forces, including demons and the tyrant Kansa.
He said that whenever efforts are made to stand against evil forces, he believes followers of the traditional faiths will stand alongside the government.
The minister urged members of the Sanatan community to remain united with the government in confronting any evil force in the future.
Later, Md. Asaduzzaman joined a rally organized in Shailkupa on the occasion of Janmashtami.
