Dhaka, Aug 26 (V7N)- Law Minister Md. Asaduzzaman has alleged that a section of people in the country, hiding behind masks, are still conspiring to rehabilitate fascists and bring back the previous government.
He made the remarks at a program organized on the occasion of holy Eid-e-Miladunnabi (PBUH) in Banani, Dhaka, on Wednesday (August 26) afternoon.
The Law Minister said those seeking to restore a government that allegedly killed thousands of people and left around 30,000 people injured, crippled or blinded must be identified and resisted.
He called for the development of a clear roadmap to ensure that no individual or group can establish fascism in the country again.
Asaduzzaman said a livable country must be built for the next generation. He acknowledged that mistakes could occur in the process of governing but stressed the need to identify and correct those mistakes before moving forward.
He urged people to follow the ideals and teachings of Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) and work toward establishing a country based on democracy and the rule of law.
The Law Minister also cautioned against allowing fascism to return, saying that efforts to prevent fascism should not result in adopting fascist practices themselves.
He further called for an end to the culture of opposing others merely for the sake of opposition and urged all sides to work together for the welfare and development of the country.
