Dhaka, Aug 22 (V7N)- Post and Telecommunications Minister Fakir Mahbub Anam has called for building a new Bangladesh by harnessing the potential of technology and young people.
He made the remarks at a discussion and prayer meeting organized at the National Press Club on Saturday morning to mark the 57th birth anniversary of Arafat Rahman Koko.
The telecommunications minister urged everyone to remain united in implementing Prime Minister Tarique Rahman's development plans.
He said the energy and potential of young people should be utilized by drawing inspiration from the life and work of Arafat Rahman Koko.
According to Mahbub Anam, the combination of technology and sports can play an important role in building a new Bangladesh.
He said Arafat Rahman Koko made significant contributions to laying the foundation for Bangladesh's current success in international cricket.
Koko dreamed of building a vibrant, drug-free society for young people, the minister said.
He urged the country's youth to embrace Koko's ideals and aspirations and work to preserve his legacy through sports.
