Dhaka, July 6 (V7N) — State Minister for Education Bobby Hajjaj has said the government will undertake a series of initiatives to increase student attendance, enhance teachers' professional skills and improve the overall quality of primary education across the country.
He made the remarks while visiting Agargaon Taltola Government Primary School in the capital on Monday morning.
The state minister said the government will implement effective measures to reduce student absenteeism and ensure greater participation in classroom learning.
He also announced that special training programmes will be arranged to strengthen teachers' professional capacity and improve the quality of instruction in primary schools.
Bobby Hajjaj said the government will identify the problems faced by primary schools and address them in phases. At the same time, efforts will be made to improve the working conditions, facilities and overall quality of life of teachers.
Emphasising equitable access to education, he said special initiatives would be taken to reduce the gap in educational standards and opportunities between urban and rural areas.
The state minister further said that the existing curriculum will be further enriched through the introduction of a new curriculum designed to address students' deficiencies in reading and writing skills and strengthen foundational learning outcomes.
