Dhaka, Mar 11 (V7N) – Health Minister Sardar Sakhawat Hossain has called on the country’s private healthcare providers to assist the government in ensuring proper regulation and quality control of hospitals, clinics, and diagnostic centers.
The appeal came during an iftar program held at a hotel in the capital on Tuesday evening.
Addressing the gathering, the minister said the number of healthcare institutions across the country has grown significantly, making effective monitoring and quality assurance essential. He stressed that patients must be charged fair and reasonable service fees, rather than excessive costs.
Leaders of the Private Hospital-Clinic-Diagnostic Owners' Association said the organization has recently become active again after a long period of inactivity. They expressed their willingness to cooperate with the government in maintaining quality standards and reasonable pricing in private healthcare facilities.
However, the association leaders also noted that the organization would not take responsibility for the wrongdoing of any individual institution, emphasizing the need for each facility to maintain proper standards and ethical practices.
