Tehran, Jul 19 (V7N)- Iran's Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei has described US President Donald Trump's signature as "worthless," accusing Washington of repeatedly violating the memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed between Iran and the United States regarding the conflict.
According to a Reuters report published on Sunday (July 19), Khamenei made the remarks in a written statement issued on Saturday (July 18).
In the statement, he said the repeated violations of the agreement by the United States had demonstrated that President Trump's commitments could not be trusted.
"The US's repeated violations of the memorandum of understanding signed between Iran and the United States have proven that President Donald Trump's signature is completely worthless and unreliable," Khamenei said.
He further stated that the United States should understand that the Iranian nation and the so-called "resistance front" had taught Washington an unforgettable lesson.
The remarks come after the collapse of the Iran-US ceasefire agreement last week, following renewed military exchanges between Washington and Tehran. The latest escalation has raised concerns that the two countries could once again slide toward a broader military confrontation.
