Tehran, 16 Jul (V7N)- Iran has warned that the United States will not be allowed to interfere in the Strait of Hormuz under any circumstances, describing the issue as an “irreversible red line” for Tehran.

The warning was issued by Ibrahim Zulfiqari, spokesman for the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, while commenting on the latest situation surrounding the strategic waterway.

According to a report by Anadolu Agency citing Iran’s Tasnim News Agency, Zulfiqari said that U.S. attacks have continuously increased security concerns for Iran, and Tehran will not accept any American involvement in the Strait of Hormuz.

“The Strait of Hormuz is Iran’s irreversible red line,” he said, warning that any attempt by Washington to interfere in the area would face a strong response.

Zulfiqari also issued a warning over potential attacks on Iranian infrastructure, saying that if the United States targets Iranian facilities, regional infrastructure could become a target in response.

The statement comes amid rising tensions between Washington and Tehran, with military deployments and security concerns increasing around the Strait of Hormuz, one of the world’s most important energy transit routes.
