Earlier, on Wednesday (June 11), a Pakistan Army MI-17 helicopter crashed shortly after taking off from the Muzaffarabad area. All 22 people on board were killed when the aircraft went down.

According to preliminary findings, military sources said the tragic accident was likely caused by a sudden mechanical failure during flight. However, authorities have formed a high-level investigation committee to determine whether any other factors contributed to the crash.

The sudden loss of the military personnel has cast a shadow of grief across Pakistan. Following the incident, the country's top political leaders, including the President, Prime Minister and senior defense officials, expressed deep sorrow and extended condolences to the families of the victims.

The investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing.
