Riyadh, Apr 18 (V7N) — As temperatures continue to rise during the Hajj season, light to moderate rainfall has been forecast in parts of Saudi Arabia, offering some relief to pilgrims and residents.
The Saudi National Center for Meteorology said rainfall is likely in the Riyadh region from Saturday (April 18) through Sunday (April 19), which could lead to a slight drop in temperature.
The forecast covers several surrounding governorates, including Al-Kharj, Diriyah, Al-Dawadmi, Al-Zulfi, Al-Majmah, Hotat Bani Tamim, and other nearby areas.
With large numbers of pilgrims currently in the country for the Hajj season, authorities have advised caution. The Saudi Civil Defense urged residents and visitors to remain alert and follow official safety instructions during any adverse weather conditions.
The expected rainfall is seen as a brief respite from the intense heat typically experienced during this period in the region.
