Islamabad, Apr 11 (V7N) – US Vice President JD Vance met with Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Saturday, alongside senior US officials including Special Envoy Steve Witkoff and adviser Jared Kushner, according to a report by Dawn News.

The meeting took place in Islamabad amid ongoing high-level discussions between the United States and Iran aimed at reducing regional tensions.

A statement from the Pakistani Prime Minister’s Office said Shehbaz Sharif expressed hope that the talks would serve as an important step toward achieving sustainable peace in the region.

Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Sharif also held a separate meeting with the Iranian delegation, highlighting Pakistan’s mediating role in facilitating dialogue between the two sides.
