Islamabad, Mar 13 (V7N) — A court in Pakistan has ordered the formation of a medical board to evaluate the health of Imran Khan, founder of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), who is currently imprisoned.
The order was issued by the Islamabad High Court on Thursday (March 12) while hearing a petition seeking the transfer of the 73-year-old leader from jail to a hospital. The development was confirmed by Imran Khan’s lawyer.
Last month, PTI and Imran Khan’s family alleged that he had lost most of the vision in one eye and requested that he be shifted to Shifa International Hospital for treatment.
The news was reported by Pakistan Today and other media outlets.
