Ottawa, Mar 10 (V7N) – Pierre Poilivre, leader of the Conservative Party of Canada, has pledged to support the Iranian people in their struggle for freedom and democracy, according to Iran International on Tuesday.

Poilivre also emphasized the need for Canada to prioritize its domestic security, stating, “We must stop the threat of foreign regimes operating on Canadian soil and focus on what we have control over, especially security and a decent life.”

Known as one of the most influential opposition leaders in Canadian federal politics, Poilivre currently leads the Conservative Party of Canada and has often voiced strong positions on international human rights issues.
