Karachi, Feb 20 (V7N)- At least 15 people were killed after a gas cylinder explosion caused a building to collapse in Karachi, Pakistan. Among the deceased are seven children and three women, while at least 20 others sustained injuries in the incident.
According to a report by Dawn on Thursday, the explosion occurred on the ground floor of a three-storey residential building in the Soldier Bazar area.
Preliminary investigations suggest that the blast may have been triggered by a leak in a gas cylinder or a gas suction machine installed in the building.
Rescue teams are continuing search and recovery operations at the site. Authorities fear that more victims may still be trapped under the debris as efforts remain underway to clear the rubble.
