New Delhi, Nov 01 (V7N)- India’s National Security Advisor Ajit Doval has said that the changes of government in Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and Nepal are the result of weak governance. He emphasized that effective governance is crucial for nation-building and maintaining stability.

Speaking on the occasion of National Unity Day on Friday (October 31), Doval said, “Governance is something that helps in achieving the goals of the state and fulfilling the aspirations of the common people.”

He noted that one of the biggest challenges for modern administrations is keeping citizens satisfied, as people today are “more aware, more ambitious, and have higher expectations from the state.”

Doval added that “the strength of a nation lies in its governance.” He said that governments function through institutions, and those who establish and nurture these institutions play the most vital role in building a strong nation.

Praising Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s governance model, the Indian security advisor said that India is “entering a new orbit of governance, social structure, and global positioning.” He added that the institutional reforms introduced by the Modi government to curb administrative corruption are having a significant impact, and hinted that further reforms may follow.
