Moscow, Aug 10 (V7N) – Russian President Vladimir Putin has posthumously awarded the prestigious Order of Lenin to Michael Gloss, a 21-year-old American who died fighting for Russia in the Ukraine conflict.
According to BBC, Gloss was killed in April last year. Moscow honored him for his significant contribution to the war effort on behalf of Russia. The award will be received by his mother, Julianne Galina, a CIA officer.
President Putin has tasked US Special Representative Steve Witkoff, currently in Moscow, to deliver the medal. The US government has yet to issue any response regarding the award.
