Isfahan, June 23 (V7N) – At least three people were killed in a suspected Israeli drone strike on an ambulance in central Iran, according to a report from Iran's ISNA news agency cited by Al Jazeera on Monday.
The incident occurred in Najafabad County of Isfahan Province. Hamid Reza Mohammadi Fesharaki, the local governor, confirmed that the ambulance was transporting a patient when it came under drone attack, resulting in severe damage to the vehicle and the deaths of all on board.
While Iranian officials have not formally named the attacker, the strike is widely believed to be part of Israel’s recent escalations targeting Iranian assets following rising regional tensions. The attack comes just days after a U.S. airstrike on Iranian nuclear sites, further fueling fears of a broader Middle East conflict.
No official comment has yet been released by the Israeli government regarding this particular incident.
